    The Flos Arco Floor Lamp, designed by Achille Castiglioni, is one of the most iconic lighting pieces of the 20th century — a true masterpiece of Italian design. Featuring a sweeping stainless-steel arch and a solid white Carrara marble base, the Arco brings sculptural elegance and functional light into any interior.

    Originally designed in 1962, this timeless lamp was updated by Flos in 2012 with an integrated multichip LED light source, offering a warm 2700K glow and two-step dimming. Its height-adjustable polished aluminium reflector allows precise positioning of light, making it ideal for use above dining tables, seating areas or workspaces. Combining form, balance and innovation, the Arco remains a symbol of refined modern living.

    About the Design

    The Arco Floor Lamp was created in 1962 by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni as an experiment in bridging architecture and light. Inspired by a streetlight, its long arch projects illumination from a distance, allowing freedom of movement beneath the light source without ceiling suspension. The combination of heavy marble and graceful steel embodies the Castiglioni brothers’ genius for balance and proportion — a design that remains as relevant today as it was over 60 years ago.
